Pride Lab®
Our Rail to Rail concave technology moves from a single concave to a shorter double concave, with a flat central hull linking the two side channels. That flat section acts as a pivot point, increasing the leverage of the rider's weight and improving control in critical wave conditions. An ideal solution for those who like manoeuvres in the pocket.
The Radial Flex+ innovation is an extension of our RadialFlex technology, stiffening the board from the tail up to 5 cm from the nose. It gives us a board with neither rocker nor stringer. It strikes a perfect balance between flex and drive, ideal for riders looking for a degree of flexibility, or who prefer riding a PP board in colder water.
Developed inside the Pride LAB, the RF+ offers an unmatched blend of flex and responsiveness, delivering exceptional response and control. It also provides an optimised experience for riders in cold water with a PP core. Whether you are after smooth transitions, tight turns or improved buoyancy, the Radial Flex+ redefines what is possible in modern board design, answering a wide range of riding styles and conditions.
The Radial Flex® was developed using the latest technology and software available, including the structural analysis that let us observe how a bodyboard reacts under bending and loads comparable to those of real bodyboarding. The data collected showed that when the rider pulls on the nose of the board, a structural load travels through the elbow radially, and not in a straight line from the hand to the elbow.
From those findings we developed the Dynamic Arc® technology, an ultra-light, high-strength Divinycell batten configured to spread the rider's structural load through the vertical axis of the board.
By increasing the natural curve of the Dynamic Arc® all the way to the tail of the board, we also managed to create a load distribution pattern that not only turns compression into projection, but also spreads impact stress better across the whole surface of the board. The board therefore lasts longer as well.
Very simple laws of physics were applied by the Pride Lab engineers to create this unique design. "When the water flow goes from a wide section to a narrower one, pressure increases under the board. The pressure the concave generates as it narrows pushes the board and creates more speed, especially when the board is flat, and therefore in small waves," explains Jeremy Arnoux, engineer at the Pride Lab. This Double Concave is paired with deep Hull channels.
Pierre-Louis Costes has been testing the board for more than 3 years now, and his feedback is nothing short of enthusiastic. "I have been using the same materials since 2020: PP, 2 Stringers, Mesh and a surlyn slick. So I am very sensitive to any change on my boards. The Single-to-Double Concave really changes the lines, above all in small conditions where the board stays flat on the wave for longer."
Our new SDC+ technology improves grip on the face of the wave and gives better control in hollow sections.
Thanks to a slight progressive AKU concave on the lower third of both rails, this technology will help you in hollow, powerful waves, giving you unmatched control. The concave rails will not affect your speed or your line when you are gliding flat. The SDC+ delivers as much lift and speed in small conditions as our SDC boards.
The best of both worlds.
Our new Varial Mesh technology consists of a double layer of mesh, exactly where you need it most: it improves projection through the tension it creates, and reduces creasing at the elbows.
A first layer is laminated on the outside of the Radial Flex Dynamic Arc®, between the deck and the core of your bodyboard. A second layer is then inserted between the core and the slick, across the whole surface of the slick.
The tension created by the two Mesh layers, and the change in durability it brings to the outer parts of the board, improves projection on every aerial manoeuvre and extends the life of the board by slowing down the appearance of creases under the elbows (the most heavily loaded area of the deck).
The most durable and highest performing board we have ever made.
The Kinetic PP Core is a bodyboard core specially designed and manufactured using advanced engineering techniques. It is a lightweight material (1.9 lbs PCF) fused to create a core with exceptional flex properties, such as immediate drive, increased longitudinal stiffness and impressive compression strength.
Polypropylene is completely waterproof, which keeps it light and durable for the whole life of your board. Thanks to its outstanding durability, this material is particularly well suited to bodyboarders in temperate to warm climates and/or those who ride frequently.
The NRG+ Core is a material created through advanced cell expansion technology. It was developed to reproduce the essential performance qualities found in the old Dow™ cores.
The NRG+ core is a Polypropylene core, less dense and lighter than the Kinetic PP (1.4 lbs PCF - per cubic foot), backed by a Kinetic PP underlayer (on the lower quarter of the board's thickness) for extra strength and durability. This core is an excellent choice if you are looking for more flex in cold water, or if you prefer a high-performance board offering more flex and less weight. The NRG+ core suits children and lighter riders particularly well, as it is easier to handle and control than a Kinetic PP core board.
You will find it on our Timeless model with an HDPE slick, or on most professional models with a Mesh layer and our Single to Double Concave technology.
The Vulcan fins are a revolution in design. The 3density® elastomer technology developed by the Pride Lab® for these fins delivers improved propulsion, ideal for powerful, experienced bodyboarders. The ergonomic foot pocket and the ankle strap give you unmatched comfort throughout your sessions. Their optimised drainage system offers incomparable comfort.
It is a unique mould, designed and owned by the Pride Lab®, which spent years of research and development creating the most advanced bodyboard fin on the market.
They are made from premium Malaysian natural rubber and 40% recycled rubber.
Our wetsuit range is made exclusively from Yulex® natural rubber.
This rubber is the only environmentally friendly alternative to traditional neoprenes derived from oil or limestone. The FSC® - Forest Stewardship Council certification guarantees that the Hevea trees used for Yulex® rubber are grown and harvested sustainably and watered by the surrounding rainfall. They support forest-dependent local communities socially and economically, and are continuously available. On top of that, our manufacturing process uses recycled water and recharges the aquifers. Yulex® natural rubber cuts CO2 emissions by 80% and has the lowest carbon footprint on the market.
Separating your leash from your board has always been awkward, yet it is essential if you want to avoid damaging your board while travelling, or simply in the boot of your car. Some choose to undo the knot in the cord, others, less patient, would rather unscrew the plug to avoid hurting their fingers or their teeth. This is the challenge the Pride Lab® team decided to take on, with the aim of keeping the renowned strength of our leashes while making bodyboarders' lives easier.
A pin system was designed on the connector that links the cord to the urethane of the leash. A metal part slots into the hole of the swivel, guaranteeing the full strength of the system.
Pull the pin out and the swivel comes away from the connector, which stays attached to the plug. Detaching your leash now takes a fraction of a second.
Fitted with Stretchfit® technology, this leash offers optimal comfort when the arm is flexed, without losing its hold when the arm is extended. Add to that a unique cut designed by the Pride Lab' at the cuff. It widens at the closure to avoid any pinching when you ride bare-chested.
We used 5 mm neoprene with a lycra finish and 7 mm German-quality urethane to keep the strength optimal.
