SARI OHHARA

World Champion in 2019 and 2023.

Sari Ohhara was born in Ichinomiya, Japan, on 21 April 1995. She started bodyboarding at 11 and joined the World Tour in 2011. In 2018 she received the APB Best Female Performance award and joined the Pride Bodyboards team the same year. Since riding for Pride Bodyboards she has achieved her best World Tour results, with a win at the 2019 Sintra Pro, wins at the 2023 Antofagasta Bodyboard Festival and the 2023 Wahine BB Pro, as well as two second places at the Bellavista Iquique Pro and the Antofagasta Bodyboard Festival. In 2019 she became the second Japanese woman to win the bodyboard world title. She took the world champion title again in 2023.
