Legal guarantees

Regardless of any commercial warranty, all products sold on Pride Bodyboards benefit from the legal guarantees, which are free of charge and can neither be reduced nor set aside:

Legal guarantee of conformity — articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code. The Customer has two years from delivery of the goods to take action. During the twenty-four months following delivery of new goods, any lack of conformity that appears is presumed to have existed at the time of delivery: the Customer does not have to prove the origin of the defect. The Customer may request the repair or the replacement of the goods free of charge and, failing that, a price reduction or the rescission of the sale. A repair gives entitlement to a six-month extension of this guarantee.

Legal guarantee against hidden defects — articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code. The Customer has two years from the discovery of the defect to take action, and may obtain the rescission of the sale or a price reduction.

These guarantees are exercised with customer service, at the contact details given in article 11 of the terms and conditions of sale.

Pride commercial warranty

In addition to the legal guarantees above, Pride products benefit from the following commercial warranty:

BODYBOARDS: • 3 months

ACCESSORIES: • 6 months for leashes • 6 months for board bags

What the commercial warranty does not cover

• damage caused by anything other than a manufacturing defect;
• use in commercial, rental or educational activities;
• damage due to prolonged or excessive exposure to the sun, to improper handling or storage, or to failure to follow the instructions supplied with the product;
• normal wear and tear, including scratches and discolouration.

These exclusions apply only to the commercial warranty. They in no way limit the legal guarantees set out above.

Using the warranty

Proof of purchase must be provided to validate the commercial warranty. For any request, please contact customer service.
