Separating your leash from your board has always been awkward, yet it is essential if you want to avoid damaging your board while travelling, or simply in the boot of your car. Some choose to undo the knot in the cord, others, less patient, would rather unscrew the plug to avoid hurting their fingers or their teeth. This is the challenge the PRIDE LAB team decided to take on, with the aim of keeping the renowned strength of our leashes while making bodyboarders’ lives easier.
THE PRIDE PIN SYSTEM
A pin system was designed on the connector that links the cord to the urethane of the leash. A metal part slots into the hole of the swivel, guaranteeing the full strength of the system.
Pull the pin out and the swivel comes away from the connector, which stays attached to the plug. Detaching your leash now takes only’a fraction of a second.
This technology was tested and approved by the team riders. The Pride Pin System will not let you down, whatever the conditions you ride in.
The new connector lets you fit and remove your leash in a fraction of a second. The two parts of the connector (the pin and the main body) slot together to form a single unit.
The pin is made from two materials, rubber and stainless steel, guaranteeing the full strength of the system.
